Why should you get a Bengal cat?
Since the Bengal cat breed appeared relatively recently, in 1983, there are no riddles and myths associated with its appearance. However, this does not mean that the very history of the breed's origin does not deserve the attention of an inquisitive public.
Behind the great achievements is the name of the person whose perseverance and work, in fact, led to these very achievements. And behind the appearance of the Bengal cat breed is Jane Mill, a geneticist and cat lover.

Jane, while still a student at the University of California, Davis, was seriously interested in the idea of creating new breeds of cats by crossing representatives of different breeds. However, all these ideas were cut down by the teaching staff of the university at the root, because, as the professors believed, they carried no practical value. And the professor was not interested in the aesthetic question.
But despite the criticism, Jane did not abandon the idea of bringing out a new breed of cats. And fate heard her. Once, while on a working trip to Bangkok, Jane saw a kitten of incredible beauty at the market: big eyes, iridescent spotted fur ... the girl could not resist and bought a kitten. An additional incentive to buy was the fact that this breed of cats, as Jane found out, was on the verge of extinction. Poachers practically destroyed representatives of this breed of cats, hunting for their valuable fur.
At home, Jane was waiting for her beloved black mongrel cat, who accepted the newly arrived kitten without any problems. The kitten, in turn, quickly became friends with the black cat. What could not be said about people, their kitten shunned, although it did not show much aggression.
Time passed, the little kitten turned into a graceful and beautiful kitty who graciously accepted the courtship of the black cavalier. And now Jane has an addition to the cat family — a cat brought from Bangkok gave birth to a kitten, who was given the name Kin-kin. The process of creating a new breed has been launched!
Today, breeders continue to work hard on the Bengal breed of cats. Correct problems with color, with the length of the coat, correct behavior.
